How the Price Distance Calculator works
Formula
distance = price_to - price_from; percent = (distance / price_from) × 100
Example
EURUSD from 1.0800 to 1.0900: distance = 100 pips, percent = 0.93%
Inputs & units
Two price levels. Result includes absolute distance, percentage change, and per-unit distances (ticks, pips, points) when instrument metadata is available.
Supported formulas
Distance mode only. No formula selection required.
Limitations
Price-only calculation. Spread, commissions, slippage, and account size are excluded.
Metadata source
Tick size, pip size, and point size are sourced from the AlgoVistra instrument database where available.
