About this tool

How the Solve Trade Level Calculator works

Formula

Target (BUY): entry + risk × desired_rr. Stop loss (BUY): entry - reward / desired_rr. SELL directions invert.

Example

EURUSD BUY at 1.0850, SL at 1.0800, desired R:R = 3: target = 1.0850 + 0.0050 × 3 = 1.1000

Inputs & units

Direction, entry, the known level (stop loss or target), and desired R:R. Returns the solved price, tick-aligned tradable price, and achieved R:R.

Supported formulas

Solve for target (TP) or stop loss (SL). Entry cannot be solved.

Limitations

Tick-aligned price may differ from the raw calculated price. Price-only; execution costs excluded.

Metadata source

Tick size for alignment is sourced from the instrument database when available.

Frequently asked questions

01

What can I solve for?

You can solve for the take-profit or stop-loss level given the other values and a desired risk/reward ratio.

02

What does 'desired R:R' mean?

It is the risk-to-reward ratio you want. For example, entering 3 means you want the reward to be three times the risk.
